Pet Care & Articles of Interest
Unless you are a breeder, we highly encourage all pet owners to have their pets spayed and neutered in an effort to prevent unwanted, homeless animals.

Animals that are not spayed/neutered also tend to be more difficult to work with (especially when in season) and unfortunately tend to "accidently get outside."

It is heart breaking for animal lovers to see all the lost or abandoned animals in shelters and even those of us who love animals cannot adopt every lost or abandoned one.

We also encourage all pet owners to have their pets microchipped so that they can be reunited with their owners in case they are lost.  We have adopted several animals that we found as strays.  The first thing we did was have the Vet scan for a microchip and found none. Since they were neutered and in one case declawed, they were at one point probably somebody's pet. Whether they were lost or abandoned we don't know.

Please be a responsible pet owner!!!!  There are shelters that will take unwanted animals and the Humane Society will usually offer low cost spay/neutering at certain times of the year.  We can personally attest to the fact that shelter/stray animals make loving, faithful companions.  Consider adopting one.  Ours lived long, happy, loving lives!!!!
