IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Do not leave you pet alone in a vehicle.  Theives are breaking into vehicles and stealing pets to sell on the black market, to friends, etc.

This especially pertains to small dogs, many of which are now selling for thousands of dollars.

Also, do not leave your pet tied up outside an establishment nor alone in your yard.  The thieves also pose as potential buyers of any animals you have for sale and they have used weapons to seize the animals.

Fax or email your information to us and we will post it on our website.  If possible send a picture of your pet.  Also, look under our Vets/Animal Shelter tab for a listing of Animal Shelters, Animal Controls, Rescue Organizations, & Vets to contact about your lost pet.  Also notify the Police Departments in your area.  Also you may want to contact the following organizations:

If you discover that your pet is missing, search all areas of the house and yard.  Look in all closets, under beds, etc. Look in places that the pet would not normally be found.  Be very quiet and listen for any scratching, meowing, whining or crying sounds.

Ask immediate neighbors if they have seen your pet. Print off the lost pet flyer and fill in the blanks.  If you have a picture of the pet, get copies made and attach to flyer. If your pet is not normally let outside and is unfamiliar with it's outdoor setting, set up an area of items outside that it can recognize the familiar smell such as bedding, blankets, pet toys, articles of your clothing, etc.

Put out food and water in case your pet is still in the area.  Notify the animal control groups, shelters, rescue organizations, vets, and police in your area and keep checking back with them. Put flyers up around the neighborhood and on public bulletin boards. Post info on the internet.

PLEASE CONSIDER HAVING YOUR PET MICROCHIPPED.  We have adopted several stray animals and the first thing we did was have the Vet check for a microchip but found none.  All my pets are microchipped.  If they are ever lost I want to make sure that I get them back.  They are a part of our family and it is heart breaking not to know what might have happened to your beloved pet.
