A pooper-scooper, or poop scoop, is a device commonly used to pick up an animal's fecal matter.  So please don't call us pooper-scoopers!!! We are Pet Waste Removal Techs. Now doesn't that sound much more professional????

Do not put your dog and cat poop in your compost bin or attempt to use it for fertilizer. (While this type has been successfully composted by commercial composting companies it is still not recommended that individuals use it - you need a good amount of dogs to generate enough feces to maintain a certain level of heat - click here   to read the article from the USA Natural Resources - it takes a while to open.)

Hi, my name is Linda and my dog Duke and I are polluters.  Yes, that's right, we confess!!!  We are major polluters and so are you, but you may not realize it!!  You see all humans and animals produce waste which contaminates.

As humans living in our society we have sanitary systems with waste treatment facilities to handle most human wastes which clean up our waste (pollution.)  But outside, our dogs and yards produce wastes that eventually find their way into storm drains (which usually feed streams and rivers.)

Waste Treatment plants only treat the waste water from indoor plumbing - not storm drains.  Waste that enters the storm drains ends up contaminating our creeks, streams and rivers.

Pet feces contain nitrogen and phosphorus which causes algae to grow out of control on top of the water which then stops the sunlight from getting to aquatic life. When the algae dies the oxygen in the water is consumed suffocating the fish. (One study found that a single gram of dog feces contains 23 million fecal colifrom bacteria!!! In a densely populated watershed in Arlington, Virginia, scientist estimate that dogs deposit more than 5,000 pounds of poop each day. ...Quoted from Stop Pointless Personal Pollution, United State Environmental Protection Agency.)

Now, even if you are not that concerned about our environment, you should be concerned about your health, the health of your pet and the health of your family.  As much as we love those furry critters who share our home, we must be responsible pet owners and realize that the feces of our dogs (and cats) contain some rather unpleasant things that can cause serious illnesses.

While cholera and dysentery are not common diseases in the US, they are in areas without proper sanitation.  But we must realize that while our human waste is being treated, our pets waste, without proper disposal, is being carried into other water supplies and these waste products are the same that cause these dreaded diseases!!!

Pet waste contains bacteria and viruses (E. Coli, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Listeria) and parasites which can affect humans (roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, ringworm, whipworms.) Children and pregnant women are especially suceptible to infections and, of course, your pet can become infected also (toxoplasmosis, cryptosporidiosis, giardiasis, campylobacteriosis.)

Pet Waste is also messy, smelly, and a good way to destoy your lawn and garden.

The solution???  Proper and timely disposal of all pet waste with proper disinfecting procedures.  So if you don't have the time or energy to do the proper job, call upon a pet waste disposal tech - we will do the job for you!!

How do I get set up for your service?

A: Our Pet Waste Disposal Tech will systematically walk through the area exposed to pet waste twice and scoop up and bag the waste product in biodegradable trash bags. Before disposing of it in your designated trash receptacle it will be bagged again for safety. If a hose and water are available areas needing same will be hosed off. Affected concrete areas will be sprayed with a diluted solution of chlorine bleach or specially formulated disinfectant. All tools and boots used to clear the area will be disinfected after each visit to prevent contaminating other areas and spreading germs, viruses and parasites.  Urine burns on grass can be treated with a dog waste product to cut down on the the harmful effects of urine on grass.
Q: Do I need to sign a contract?
A: We do ask you to sign an authorization form. It does not obligate you to any future services. Your service can be started or cancelled as needed. However, clients receiving regular service will receive a discounted price since pet waste is being removed on a regular basis which makes clean up quicker for our Pet Waste Disposal Tech. If canceling a regularly scheduled service, we request that you notify us within 48 hours of service so that we can re-route our Tech otherwise we will need to charge you for the service if it is rendered.

Q: Can my dog(s) be left in the yard during service?
A: That depends on your dog(s). Dogs that are friendly and will allow us into the yard may remain in the yard. However, dogs that are aggressive or who will not allow us to enter the yard will have to be confined in order for us to complete the service. As a dog owner you are responsible for the conduct of your dog(s).

Our Techs are instructed not to put themselves in harms way. So if they are in anyway concerned for their safety, they will not perform the service unless your animals are confined. If we attempt to make a service call and we are unable to gain access to your property, there will be a minimum charge equal to the twice weekly charge for one dog, which is our minimum fee.  We will not service any area where a cat or dog does not have the required rabies shots as we will not expose our employees to rabies in the unfortunate event of a dog/cat bite or scratch. See What You Should Know About Vaccinations.

Q: Do I need to be present at the time of service?
A: As long as we have access to the area to be cleaned, no one need be present at the time of service. However, we do make an initial visit to introduce ourselves, assess the area to be cleaned and get to know any pets who may be outside when we clean. During that time we will ask you to sign an authorization for service which does not bind you to future service. We will schedule a brief visit at your earliest convenience.

Q: What do you charge for your service?
A: The cost of service depends on the frequency and the number of pets. As an example, once a week service is $12 per visit per pet. Twice a week service is $9 per visit per pet. Other prices are charged for other frequencies and greater number of pets.
Q: How often can I get service?
A: We provide service on a weekly, twice weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or one time basis. Our prices reflect the frequency of service. Our one time service might be just the thing for someone selling a home, moving in or out of a home, planning an outdoor event, recovering from a harsh winter, doing spring or fall clean up, laid up with an accident or illness, or any change of routine that would prevent you from doing your regular clean up. It’s also great for those of you holding a doggie event.

Q: What about referrals?
